形態特徵

• Rhizome corm-like, globose to ovoid, 1-2 cm long, 7-9 mm across; stem 20-50 cm long, glabrous.
• Leaves 7-15, lanceolate to oblanceolate, 10-19 cm long, 1-1.5 cm wide, apex acute to acuminate, chartaceous to membranous, margins entire or slightly undulate, upper surface lustrous green, lower surface pale green, slightly glaucous, 1-nerved; midrib impressed on upper surface, elevated beneath; sessile to subsessile.
• Flowers 5-6 cm in diam., pale green to yellowish green; pedicel 4-9 cm long, slender, glabrous; tepals 10-14, outer ones 5-7, lanceolate to narrowly lanceolate, 3-6 cm long, 6-9 mm wide, apex acuminate to acute, base obtuse; inner tepals 5-7, linear to filiform, 3.5-6 cm long, 1 mm wide; stamens 10-14, filaments 4-5 mm long; anthers linear, 8-12 mm long, yellow; ovary globose to obconical, purple, apex truncate; styles 5-7.
• Fruit a capsule, ovoid, 1.5-2 cm across, dehiscent when mature; seeds many, red, shining.
• The reduction of <i>P. lancifolia</i> to a synonyms of <i>P. polyphylla</i> var. <i>stenophylla</i> is based on the original description and specimens of both taxa. I cannot tell the difference between them and therefore treat them as conspecific.

分布

• 台灣 : forests and roadsides, 1,700-3,200 m, throughout the island, rather common.
• 世界 : The Himalaya, mainland China (Yunnan and Szchwan).
